Hello Spring! Out With the Old, Spring Forward Into the New

Bedding refreshes abound this season

So we’ve sprung forward the clocks and the annual Vernal Equinox took place on Tuesday March 19, 2024. The weather where you are may not reflect it, but Spring is officially here! We hope wherever you are that there are at least some hints of what’s to come: daffodils, birds chirping, buds on trees.

Here at Shepherd’s Dream, we’re celebrating the return of Spring with a special discount just for our loyal Dreamers—those of you who receive our Ewe’s Letter (sign up here!), read the blogs, or follow us on a social channel. Use code SPRING10 for 10% off your purchase of $100 or more.

And while you’re at it, it’s a great time for a bedroom refresh to usher winter out and welcome the warmer days ahead.

Welcoming the New

We go through rituals of cleaning and clearing so we can make room for what’s to come. Warmer weather invites a switch up in our bedrooms, from cozy flannels to crisp percales and sateens, from heavier winter weight comforters and blankets to lighter weight layers, from darker colors to something brighter to reflect the return to the light.

Here are some of our favorite warmer weather items:

  • Summer Weight Comforter. Light and fluffy, with just the right amount of insulation to keep the chill off those cool nights, but plenty of breathability so you don’t overheat.
  • Polaris Travel Set. Everything you need for those summer adventures—just grab and go! Our bundled set is perfect for van life, hotel peace of mind, camping, extra softness for couch surfing, and an extra place to sleep when folks come visit you.
  • Merino Wool Blanket. What?! For warm weather?! Stay with us here…this blanket is so soft and luxurious, and it breathes like an absolute dream. We think it’s a fantastic summer layer.
  • Travel Mate Mattress Topper. As the saying goes: “It’s a car, not a backpack.” If it fits, it goes! Take this full size topper with you on your journeys and never go a night without the comfort of wool.

Wool for Warm Weather

It may seem a bit contradictory, especially since we associate cozy wool sweaters with winter, but wool bedding is the best choice for warmer temps. If you’re someone who sleeps hot or lives in a hot climate, you may be surprised to discover that your wool bedding helps regulate your temperature, pulls moisture away from your body, and breathes in a way that synthetic fabrics and fills just can’t.

So while you may be packing away those sweaters and base layers for the season, your wool bedding will continue to keep you perfectly comfortable (read more about it here). With the return of the sun, it’s also a good idea to plan a day for airing out your wool bedding items. Just like you, they appreciate some sun and fresh air!

Don’t forget to use that special code SPRING10 for 10% off your purchase of $100 or more! It’s active through Sunday April 14, 2024.

We hope you’re enjoying the onset of Spring wherever you are, and give us a follow on Instagram for more about the magic of wool. Until next time, sweet dreams!
