As April continues with its focus on all things earthy (it is Earth Month, after all!), Shepherd’s Dream highlights an important part of being a sustainable mattress company—mattress recycling.
It may come as no surprise, with Earth Day on the 22nd, that the entire month of April has been devoted to our planet as Earth Month. And what better way to honor that than by shucking your winter boots, thick wooly socks, and heading outside to give your feet a dose of sunshine and fresh air?
We’re fully in the throes of Spring, and if all the chirping birds and blooming flowers remind you of itchy, watery eyes and a stuffy nose, then we’ve got some good news for you. While we can’t do much about the tree and grass pollen outside, allergy sufferers can find great relief with some thoughtful bedroom upgrades.
Caffeine is ubiquitous and even celebrated in our culture—from the usual coffee and tea, to soda and energy drinks like Red Bull—but it does not come without its side effects. In addition to causing uncomfortable jitters, it may also be the reason many people have a hard time getting great sleep.
The days are growing longer as we move toward the Spring Equinox and the clock just sprung forward for most of us in the US, causing us to lose an hour of precious sleep. Monday March 13th is National Napping Day (no doubt to help us catch up that lost hour), and Friday March 17th is World Sleep Day. So it makes perfect sense that March is National Sleep Awareness Month.
