Since the opening of Shepherd’s Dream Ashland in 2012, the owners have striven to align themselves with the local and neighboring communities. To so so, they decided to offer their retail bedding showroom on A Street as one of Ashland’s unique venues to promote and exhibit local and regional artisans’ work. From the beginning of my relationship (October 2014) with Shepherd’s Dream, and as a passionate art promoter, I personally vouched for this space to host an eclectic variety of quality artisans from the local and regional area we call “The State of Jefferson”.
In January of 2016, this location became a part of the First Friday Artwalk through the Ashland Gallery Association. As a previous owner of a small art business, and many years as a mobile gallery director, this is also a natural progression in order to offer fine art. The shows are intended to be structured as a festive, and event-centered atmosphere, combining the all natural wool bedding, home comforts, wall art and live acoustic music. We frequently promote many entrepreneurs, who are either established or start ups of mostly organic, hand crafted offerings such as gourmet foods, and uniquely-crafted beverage vendors. Most of these vendors I hand pick from our weekly grower’s and crafter’s markets in and around the Rogue Valley.
Spend some time with us on any First Friday from 5 to 8pm, and experience one of the most talked about fun spots in Ashland. The retail location is open Tuesday – Saturday from 10am to 6pm.
