-

Our EcoWool® Batting is pure and clean. Domestically produced, the majority of our wool comes from the state of Oregon and is carded into batting at the Woolgatherer Carding Mill in Montague, California. It is available in 1, 2, and 3 yard pieces. Please call us for pricing on single pieces larger than 3 yards.

Description

EcoWool® batting is the highest quality batting we have worked with in the past 25 years of making wool bedding. Soft and resilient, it fills bedding and toys, or felts beautifully into crafts.

Why EcoWool® Batting?

  • Supports small family farmers in the USA
  • Encourages sustainable farming
  • Lasts for many years, maintaining resiliency and give like no other fiber
  • Works great for those who suffer from allergies and sensitivities

Wool batting reduces common bedroom allergens because it is naturally mold and mildew resistant. Wool quickly absorbs and releases moisture, preventing the damp conditions that things like mold and dust mites thrive on. Other natural fibers, such as down and cotton, do not readily release moisture.  Wool is also naturally fire resistant, which means that all of our bedding is able to pass flame tests without the use of any added chemicals.

Our EcoWool batting is available in undyed ivory. Our wool comforter batting is 2.1 lbs per linear yard and about 1/2″ thick when lofty and our extra thick wool batting is 2.8 lbs per linear yard and about 1″ thick when lofty. Wool batting weights and dimensions vary slightly from piece to piece. 3 yards of thick batting will be compressed in the box but will spring back when removed from the box.

PLEASE NOTE: Wool batting weights on the product page are approximate. Wool batting may fluctuate 10% up or down based on carding tolerance. Please call for details.

Best wool around

Get two twin size blankets, preferably wool. Buy 3 or 4 two-yard thick batting chunks of this wool. Lay the batts all out on the bottom blanket. Put the other blanket on top. Whip stitch around the edges, put some tufts throughout the middle section.

Boom. Most comfortable queen size mattress money can buy.

Done this three or four times now. Prompt shipping. Excellent product.
We had some left over this time, my wife made a comforter for our bed.

Buy wool. Wool is happiness.
